Gautrain sent its apologies after some of its services were suspended on Tuesday morning, according to the company's website.

“Unfortunately due to cable theft and technical issues, trains will be running between Sandton and Centurion only.” The airport line was unaffected.

It said bus shuttle services would run between Rosebank and Sandton, and Hatfield and Centurion every 20 minutes.

Services were suspended for the second time in two weeks between Hatfield, Pretoria and Centurion.

Water leakages had caused the closure of the Sandton and Rosebank line.
